“I have a lot to say. But I don’t always get to say it because everybody says I’m too loud, or too passionate. I guess it’s just the way I come off. I have all these thoughts and ideas. But, like, because I'm Black, I feel like I’m already seen as aggressive and ‘ghetto.’ So sometimes I hold back.

I feel like I have nobody in my life that knows me fully. And I'm okay with that because I don't need approval. I don't need you to know who I am.

I want you to know who I want you to know, that's the side I put out. That's the part that you're allowed to see. As long as I know who I am, that’s what matters.

Once I stop caring about what other people say and what other people think, I like myself a lot more. And lately, I'm starting to love myself. I'm my own biggest fan.
